In Granada´s ancient Moorish quarter, the Albayzín, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you will find an elegant restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Alhambra. Mirador de Morayma features an exquisitely mastered variety of local cuisine, as well as a wide range of wines, including our ecological wine produced at Alquería de Morayma, our country estate in the Alpujarra region.

Only ten minutes away by foot from the Alhambra, the cathedral, and the city´s centre, Mirador de Morayma provides the perfect setting to recover your energy after touring the monumental city of Granada. Mirador de Morayma´s privileged location in the heart of Granada´s Albayzín and Sacromonte quarters is rivalled only by the natural beauty found there between the highest peaks of the Iberian Peninsula and the warmth of the sunny Mediterranean coast.

The restaurant is set in a carmen, an urban house protected from the eyes of strangers by a garden and an orchard. This is a traditional dwelling in the Albayzín and resembles a country house located in the middle of the city, but with a savvy and brilliant use of space. Its terraced gardens provide a variety of atmospheres, and its many small dining halls afford our guests a privacy to be savored. According to legend, this was the residence of Princess Morayma during the captivity of her husband Boabdil, the last King of Granada.

Our wide range of traditional Granadian cuisine includes remojón salad (salt cod, oranges, black olives, and scallions), salmorejo (cold tomato soup with garlic, thickened with bread and emulsified with olive oil), omelette Morayma, crisp asparagus spears, blood sausage topped with sweet apple, salad with smoked sturgeon from nearby Río Frío, and codfish with almonds, among other specialties. Our menu includes seasonal and local produce, with a select wine list.
